V. Stiviano – the woman who recorded L.A Clippers owner Donald Sterling making racist remarks – insists he is not a racist … but a person who needs someone to ‘rescue’ him from the ‘generation’ he came from.
In an interview with Barbara Walters on Friday, 31-year old Vanessa Stiviano – who calls herself Sterling’s ‘personal assistant’ – sought to clear up the assumption that she is ‘a mistress or a whore or a woman of the night.’
Stiviano says Sterling is now ‘confused… feels very alone… emotionally traumatized,’ following the backlash that resulted in his getting banned for life from the NBA … and she’s speaking out because she wants to ‘help him… come to his rescue,’
‘I love him… I love him like a father figure,’ she replied when asked if she is in love with Sterling. On why she wears a visor around, she explained, ‘It hurts to see someone you care about hurting… It’s easier to mask the pain.’
Stiviano believes Sterling is no racist and what he said was ‘not what he feels,’ arguing that he only said what he said ‘in the heat of the moment.’
All the same, she ‘absolutely feels Sterling should apologize.
