Courtney Love says that she was the one who wrote the recently released mocking note found on her husband Kurt Cobain’s wallet on the day of his death in 1994.
Many outlets – including ENTmania.com – had assumed that the note was written by the late rocker because of its tone. The note read, ‘Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife even when she’s a b*tch with zits and siphoning all your money for doping and whoring.’
Now Seattle Times reports that Love contacted them via email to inform them that the note was actually written by her on 31st December 1991, the night his band Nirvana appeared in San Francisco with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam.
Besides, the earlier published note was not the complete one. Love claims that the missing part of the note is a promise to have sex ‘at least once a week, O.K.’
According to the newspaper, a former Kurt Cobain estate employee and Love’s sister Nicole Jon Carroll have since confirmed that the handwriting in the note is indeed Love’s.
