A popular Zimbabwean musician is now facing charges of child sexual abuse after his wife accused him of ejaculating in their female baby’s mouth as ‘treatment’ for a sunken frontanelle.
Alick Macheso is currently fighting a nasty divorce battle with his estranged wife Tafadzwa Mapako, who last week alleged that the reason why their marriage is ending is because she has refused to let him continue with his bizarre, sickening treatment.
She further went on to allege that Macheso used the same ‘therapy’ on the child as his first wife Nyadzisai Macheso watched.
FYI: A frontanelle is a soft spot on a baby’s head. When it is sunken, it indicates that the baby is dehydrated and its treatment is by simple rehydration, though it should be done immediately.
Macheso has since denied the accusation, claiming that Mapako had earlier threatened to ‘fix’ him and so fabricated the story to do just that. Even though he reportedly admitted using his manhood on the child, he insists he used ‘kutara’ – a method that involves a father ‘sliding his organ from the face, left ear, right ear and the back of the head to the middle of the head’ – to treat the child.
“She is lying,” he said.
“How could I do that? I used ‘kutara’ to treat the child. She is claiming that she has the evidence to substantiate her claims. Let her produce it.
“When I saw this (nhova claim) in the Press I actually knew that she was just fulfilling her word that she fixes every man she dates after divorce.
“I was told that I would die if I messed up with the relationship which I believe was only a way of putting pressure on me to leave my wife and family because by now I would have died if her threats were serious.”
Macheso was speaking in an interview at his lawyer Norman Mugiya of Mugiya and Macharaga’s offices where they were waiting to go for paternity tests.
He was accompanied by his daughter Sharon, his brother and assistant manager Jatiel Machanja.
Tafadzwa failed to turn up for the paternity tests for the second time and her lawyer’s mobile phone was unreachable.
Macheso said trouble began when Tafadzwa realised he would not leave his first wife as she had anticipated.
“She wanted me to dump my first wife and family and I refused,” he said.
“That is when problems began. She did not want my family and she openly told me she did not want Sharon to touch her children. All this nhova talk is a lie.”
Macheso’s lawyer calls Tafadzwa’s allegations ‘highly defamatory and grossly false,’ saying that ‘we are deciding whether to take legal action against her.’
Macheso’s daughter Sharon also corroborated his father’s claim that Tafadzwa is making the accusations because he refused to leave his first wife (her mother) for her.
‘We accepted her as a family member, but she wanted my father to dump my mother and her children for her,’ she said, according to NewsDay Zimbabwe. ‘When she realized my father was not giving in, she then became furious and decided to leave, but not without a fight in a bid to destroy the whole family. I loved her children more than my own siblings, but that did not make any sense to her.’
