The D.A assigned to investigate the Justin Bieber egging case has reportedly told the victim that the assault is indeed a felony.
According to TMZ, the deputy District Attorney in Van Nuys called Bieber’s former Calabasas neighbor last week and told him that ‘If this isn’t felony vandalism, nothing is.’
As ENTmania! reported, prosecutors are still trying to figure out whether to charge Bieber with felony or misdemeanor vandalism … and have already offered him a plea deal based on it.
But the investigator believes that a mere misdemeanor charge is enough in this case because ‘If we don’t charge him with a felony we ruin precedent for every other felony case we want to charge.’
The investigator is not alone in his conclusion: The Sheriff’s office have since recommended in their report that the Biebs be charged with felony vandalism.
Justin Bieber was clearly captured on surveillance video hurling eggs at his neighbor’s house and shouting, ‘F*** you! I got another one for you!’ That assault caused $20,000 worth of damage to the house.
The case is now being reviewed ‘at the highest level’.
