Irina Shayk has been blasted as ‘ignorant’ and ‘disrespectful’ for posing topless to attract attention to the trending #BringBackOurGirls campaign.
Many celebs raised awareness for the plight of the 276 Nigerian girls kidnapped from their school by terrorist group Boko Haram over a month ago by posting pics of themselves holding #BringBackOurGirls banners, or taking to the streets in protest. Mind you, all of them had their clothes on.
But Irina Shayk – Cristiano Ronaldo’s model girlfriend – decided to do things differently … and got slammed for it.
On Sunday, Shayk posted a photo of herself holding the hashtag banner over her naked torso on Facebook and Instagram (above) … and many people were NOT happy about it.
‘You disgraceful wretch,’ wrote one commenter. ‘Put your clothes back on, idiot.’
Another wrote, ‘Pretty tasteless and disrespectful. No class. This is exactly the justification terrorists are probably using to prevent women from receiving “western education.”‘
‘This is extremely ignorant and dumb,’ charged another. ‘Holding this hash tag in front of your boobs as if it was some kind of Miss America badge. Seriously? THIS.IS.NOT.ABOUT.YOU.’
‘Irina, shame on you!’ slammed another.
The model has not responded to the criticism … and she has not taken down the photo.
