Tina Turner has refuted reports that she suffered a stroke.
Several German and Dutch outlets reported recently that the 74-year old music legend is recovering from a stroke she had over the Memorial Day weekend.
According to Germany’s Express, Turner’s friend and driver Adam B. Cologne confirmed that ‘she had a mild stroke, but is well on the road to recovery.’
He also reportedly added, ‘Tina had to cancel her holiday to recover, she has already managed a smile for her partner Erwin Bach.’
But a spokesperson for Turner has shot down the reports as ‘not true,’ stressing that ‘Tina is in great health.’ Tina did not even plan the holiday she ‘cancelled’ due to the stroke, and also she doesn’t have any driver named Albert B.
This is not the first time news of Turner having a stroke has been refuted as false. In February, Oprah Winfrey had to send out a tweet to invalidate a similar rumor.
Express has taken down their report.
