A 16-year old boy from Norfolk, Virginia has confessed to brutally murdering his parents just because they administered routine punishments against him like, for example, taking away his iPod.
Vincent Parker, a tenth grader on honor rolls and the only child of his parents, was arrested after running home and brutally attacking and killing his parents back in December 19.
According to local reports, Vincent attacked his mom Carol as she emerged from the upstairs bathroom in their Bland Street home by dousing her with pepper spray and stabbing her in the eye. The he proceeded to pummel her head and face with a baseball bat and crowbar ‘until she stopped breathing.’
Then as his father Wayne came home, Vincent attacked him with a crowbar and stabbed him several times. Wayne was able to tell police what happened before giving up the ghost.
Police recovered the crowbar, baseball bat and five bloody knives from the scene, and a medical examiner identified 25 separate smashes and stabs on Carol Parker’s face, neck and head.
This week, Vincent was convicted for second degree murder, but before that he had tried to give the impression that his dad attacked him first.
But later he confessed to the crime, telling investigators, ‘I just remember getting mad… It’s all from my dad. All this stuff like my dad taking away my iPod and stuff.’
Vincent will be sentenced as an adult in September, but his grandfather hopes he won’t get the maximum sentence or serve the whole time in an adult prison.
