Kendall and Kylie Jenner did not really write their recently-released novel Rebels: City of Indra which, by the way, is currently getting demolished by Amazon reviewers.
Gawker reports that the Jenners’ novel was actually written by Rich Kids of Instagram author Maya Sloan, who relied on the input ‘from the minds of Kendall and Kylie.’
Without mentioning Sloan, Kylie said on Good Morning America, ‘It took us two years, so we’ve obviously been working on it for a while. It was awesome just seeing it grow.’
However, Kendall admitted, ‘We obviously can’t write a sci-fi novel on our own, so we had some help.’
Kendall and Kylie’s novel came out on Tuesday in Amazon and so far, it has only gotten 3 positive reviews. The remaining reviews are scathing, with one reviewer describing the novel as less than ‘garbage’.
Another reviewer even wrote, ‘Kim Kardashian’s sex tape had a better plot and a more powerful climax. At least there were no misspelled words, I gave you a star for that.’
The book’s Amazon description reads:
In a world of the far future, the great city of Indra has two faces: a beautiful paradise floating high in the sky, and a nightmare world of poverty carved into tunnels beneath the surface of the earth. Kendall and Kylie Jenner, the youngest sisters in the Kardashian dynasty, have written a gripping tale of air, fire, and a bond of blood.
