Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan is currently in critical condition after his limo bus got involved in a horrible 6-vehicle crash in New Jersey on Saturday morning.
According to several reports, the 30 Rock star was returning from a stand up gig in Delaware and was on the NJ Turnpike when a tractor-trailer rammed into his limo from behind, causing it to overturn.
One person in the limo – identified as 63-year old comedian James McNair aka Uncle Jimmy Mack – was killed by the crash, while four others, including Morgan, are in critical condition.
According to law enforcement sources, the driver of the tractor-trailer had dozed off on the wheel and so failed to realize when traffic in front of him slowed down until it was too late. Two tractor-trailers, two cars, an SUV and Tracy’s limo were involved in the fatal collision.
Morgan’s rep released a statement shortly after the news broke, confirming the news.
‘Tracy remains in critical condition at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. He sustained these injuries in an accident that occurred early this morning as one of several passengers in a chauffeured SUV returning from a tour date in Delaware,’ the rep said. ‘His family is now with him and he is receiving excellent care. We don’t anticipate much of a change in his condition today but will provide a further update once more information becomes available.’
