Warner Bros announced on Tuesday that it is working on a brand new Scooby Doo movie.
Scooby Doo – originally a cartoon by Hanna-Barbara – was first made into a movie by Warner Bros in 2002. That movie adaptation directed by Raja Gosnell grossed $268 million worldwide. Two years later, a sequel was made … and it grossed $180 million.
The upcoming movie will feature a fresh adventure.
The movies starred Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, and Linda Cardellini as teen sleuths Mystery Inc. According to Deadline, ‘There are no other attachments at the moment beyond original producer Charles Roven, who will produce this one for Atlas.’
