Daytime Emmys has been slammed for hiring four so-called ‘social media experts’ to host a complete disaster of a red carpet show that featured them flirting with actors, making racially offensive remarks, and cracking a horrible rape joke.
The four hosts – Brittany Furlan, Lauren Elizabeth, Jessica Harlow and Meghan Rosette – were hired to appeal to young viewers on the live-streamed event on Sunday night despite the fact that they knew next to nothing about daytime television and the people they were interviewing.
Among the highlights of the highly unprofessional, train wreck of a show includes Harlow calling black The Bold and the Beautiful actor Lawrence Saint-Victor a ‘beautiful chocolate man,’ and Furlan using a deplorable sentence to describe former The Young and the Restless star Daniel Polo as barely ‘legal’.
The worst moment came from Furlan and Elizabeth as they were interviewing General Hospital star Ryan Paevey.
After heavily flirting with the good-looking actor, Furlan then said, ‘We’re going to get you away from us before we rape you.’
Fans have called for the four to be fired and ‘banned from TV forever’, slamming Elizabeth and Furan as ‘idiots’ and calling the rape joke ‘disgusting.’
