A 2-year old Chinese toddler is currently causing a media storm after it was discovered that he is an alcoholic.
According to the Shanghaiist, Cheng Cheng (pictured above) prefers drinking wine and bottles of beer to drinking milk … and as a result, he is now known as ‘Little Winebibber.’
Cheng reportedly ditched milk for beer at age 10 months, after his father dipped chopsticks into wine and gave him to try. Since then, the boy has been downing bottle after bottle of alcohol without any side effects … and will throw tantrums if his family refuses him beer.
‘His eyes are always on the alcohol bottles. We can only try their best to store the bottles in a place which in not seen by him,’ his aunt Cai Teng said. ‘As sometimes he is really noisy, we have no options but let him to try a little bit of wine.’
Cheng’s parents are currently under investigation by local authorities over the issue, and his family has sworn not to give him alcohol again.
Meanwhile, authorities are contemplating on whether to take the boy away from his parents, who have since taken measures to curb their son’s unusual, extremely dangerous habit.
This is yet another disturbing story of toddlers coming from China this month: Earlier this month, a video showing a toddler publicly smoking a cigarette while passers-by laughed went viral on the internet.
