Joan Rivers shocked CNN host Fredericka Whitfield as she staged a walk-out right in the middle of an interview that aired on Saturday.
Rivers – who recently called President Obama ‘gay’ and his wife Michelle a ‘tranny‘ – apparently took offense to the way Whitfield was asking her questions about her ‘shock’ tactics, implying that her comedy is ‘mean.’
When Whitfield pointed out that Rivers was wearing fur in the cover of her new book Diary of a Mad Diva, something snapped inside the octogenarian.
‘This whole interview is turning into a defensive interview. Are you wearing leather shoes? Then shut up!’ Rivers shouted, before erupting into a fiery rant and storming out.
‘I thought she was joking,’ remarked a rattled Whitfield, adding that the comedienne blurted out several ‘four-letter words’ as she left the room.
