A bizarre thing happened in the home of the Kennedys on Tuesday night: A man walked into the house and spent a whooping three hours with Ted Kennedy Jr.’s son and when cops arrived, he told them he was just looking for Katy Perry.
According to CBS News, James Lacroix, 53, let himself into the compound once owned by John F.Kennedy at around 6:30 pm through an open door. He then hung out with Ted’s teenage son for 3 hours. The naive boy did not suspect anything … in fact, he thought Lacroix is just one of the many family friends that used to visit the house every day.
Ted, who was not around when Lacroix entered, called the house to check on his son. Lacroix then picked up the phone and introduced himself, prompting the panicked dad to call police.
When cops arrived, they found him sitting down in the house, reading a book. ‘Mr. Lacroix did not to make any threats or appear dangerous at all,’ sergeant. Michael Riley of the Barnstable Police Department told the Washington Post. ‘He began to ramble on about his political views and his love for Katy Perry and it became clear that Mr. Lacroix was detached from reality.’
Lacroix was then arrested and charged with breaking and entering. He was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, and his arraignment has been shifted to August 13.
