Jason Biggs dared to joke amid the furor that erupted after news broke that a Malaysia Airlines plane has been shot down at the volatile Russia-Ukraine border … and he paid dearly for it.
‘Anyone wanna buy my Malaysian Airlines frequent flier miles?’ tweeted the Orange is The New Black star, and the response from his followers was swift and merciless.
‘Go f*** a pie you piece of s**t. You’re such an attention seeking f***ing whore,’ one angry follower tweeted. ‘You’d laugh if your kids died in a plane crash?’ asked another.
Others labelled his joke ‘too soon’ and ‘not funny.’
But Biggs angrily shot back at the criticism, saying among other things, ‘Hey all you “too soon” a**holes- it’s a f***ing joke. You don’t have to think it’s funny, or even be on my twitter page at all.’
He wasn’t done explaining himself though. (Warning: Foul language used)
@JasonBiggs I cracked jokes the day my dad died, humor trumps tragedy. Ur recent tweets made me wanna follow u. Well done!

The Boeing 777 MH17 plane was shot down as it crossed the Russia-Ukraine border on its way to Kuala Limpur. All 295 people on board are believed to have perished.
The incident is especially painful because in March this year, a Malaysia Airline MH370 plane disappeared without trace, and it has never been found since then.
