Lindsay Lohan was on Tuesday honored with the Biggest Comeback Award at the Ischia Film Festival in Italy.
The festival’s trademark trophy was handed over to the Mean Girls star by Crash director Paul Haggis, who said in a heartfelt speech that he looked forward to working with her in the future.
Jessica Chastain was also reportedly overheard telling Lohan that she would love to play her sister in a film.
Well all that will have to wait for now, cos Lohan has been scheduled to star in the London theatrical production of David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow, and rehearsals will begin this September.
The award is in recognition of Lohan’s struggle to revive her acting career after years of hard partying, addictions and getting in trouble with the law.
