Jason Biggs apologized for cracking an unfortunate joke about the shocking MH17 crash on Thursday.
Hours earlier, the American Pie star had lashed back at fans who slammed him for cracking such a joke at the time the whole world was still stunned by the news of the crash … calling them ‘a**holes’ who should have understood that ‘it was a f**king joke.’
But the backlash finally struck home, forcing him to delete the tweets and apologize even though he claimed no one forced him to.
His series of apologetic tweet reads:
Hey all- ok, so- I am deleting my previous tweets. People were offended, and that was not my intent. Sorry to those of you that were.
This is obviously a horrible tragedy, and everyone-including myself- is sad and angry about it. Sending positive thoughts to the victims and their families. P.S. No one is making me send these tweets- I simply understand that my comments might have come off as insensitive and ill-timed. For that, I apologize.’
