Spike TV has cancelled TNA’s weekly show Impact Wrestling, it has been reported.
According to sources close to the contract deal, the network quietly informed the show’s production that it will not renew their TV contract, which expires in October.
TMZ reports that TNA president Dixie Carter was informed about the decision by Spike TV executives late last week, and she in turn informed her inner circle.
There is reportedly no bad blood existing between TNA and Spike – that is why they were informed about the cancellation on time so that they can find a new TV deal before their current contract expires.
TNA arrived on Spike TV in October 2005 … and since then it has risen to the no. 2 wrestling network in the world behind the WWE.
