Keifer Sutherland and FOX have expressed their surprise over Freddie Prinze Jr.’s earlier outburst against the 24 star, implying that they don’t even understand why he is saying that 5 years after working with him.
As ENTmania! reported yesterday, Prinze went on radio and described Sutherland as ‘the most unprofessional dude in the world,’ saying that his behavior on the 24 set was so bad that it made him want to quit acting.
Now according to TMZ Freddie said Sutherland will regularly show up on set drunk, delay production by sitting in his trailer for hours, will act temperamental and get anyone he disliked fired.
But in separate statements, Keifer’s rep and a FOX official sharply disagreed with Freddie’s claim, with the latter pointing out that the 9-season strong 24 wouldn’t have lasted that long if its lead actor behaved the way Freddie described.
‘Kiefer worked with Freddie Prinze, Jr. more than 5 years ago, and this is the first he has heard of Freddie’s grievances,’ said Sutherland”s rep. ‘Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best.’
And as for FOX, Keifer Sutherland was ‘nothing but professional during the run of the show and is beloved by cast and crew.’
‘It’s so out of left field, 5 years later,’ continued the official. ‘We wouldn’t have done another “24” if Kiefer were anything like Freddie described.’
