Lauren Bacall – one of the best known faces of Hollywood in the Golden Age era – has died.
She was 89.
Bacall died in her home on Tuesday morning after suffering a massive stroke, according to a family member.
Bacall starred in several classic films like The Mirror Has Two Faces, How to Marry a Millionaire, Key Largo, Big Sleep and Designing Woman. These movies she starred with her then-husband Humphrey Bogart, who she met in 1944 while filming To Have and To Have Not together.
A year later, she married Bogart and their marriage lasted till when he died in 1957.
Bacall remarried in 1961 to Oscar winner Jason Robards, but they divorced in 1969.
She was given an honorary Oscar for her works in 2009. She is survived by three children.
