An Alaska TV reporter on Sunday dropped an f-bomb and quit live on air over the state’s upcoming marijuana legalization vote.
Charlo Greene of KTVA was reporting on the pro-weed Alaska Cannabis Club … and right after the report she revealed that she was actually the owner of the club and would be ‘dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska.’
Then she declared, ‘As for this job — well, not that I have a choice, but f*ck it, I quit!’ – before giving an indifferent shrug and walking out.
Her actions completely stunned her colleague at the news desk, who was rendered speechless and had to struggle to continue the news broadcast.
Moments later, KTVA issued a statement, ‘We sincerely apologize for the inappropriate language used by a KTVA reporter during her live presentation on the air tonight. The employee has been terminated.’
On Monday, the unrepentant Greene released a video titled ‘Why I quit’ to explain her decision and outline what her club hopes to achieve.
