Amanda Bynes was high on
weed Adderall when she was arrested for DUI on Sunday, it has been reported.
According to TMZ, Bynes has resumed smoking weed after moving out of her parents’ home earlier this month after the expiration of the conservatorship they had over her. ‘Things started going haywire’ ever since Bynes moved out, the site quoted a source as saying.
We learned that Bynes – now living in an apartment on Orange County – has been smoking weed for weeks … and now everything has basically gone back to square one.
As ENTmania! reported, Bynes mother took her off her meds earlier than doctors recommended in April, claiming through her lawyer that Amanda was never diagnosed with schizophrenia in the first place. This obviously was a very bad mistake, as chronic diseases of any type tend to recur and even aggravate if the patient does not complete the period of medical treatment as recommended by the doctor.
What happened to Bynes this time can be safely called the consequence of taking her off her meds early – a relapse.
Bynes’ new court date has been scheduled for October 23.
TMZ has modified their story, reporting that a law enforcement official said Amanda was under the influence of Adderall, a well known stimulant prescribed to her by a doctor. However, the site still maintains that her weed problem has resurfaced with a vengeance.
She also had a ‘disheveled’ appearance at the time of her arrest.
