7th Heaven star Stephen Collins admitted that he sexually molested three pre-teen girls … and it was all caught on audio tape.
In the tape obtained by TMZ, Collins – who played the pastor dad on the show – admitted that he had sexually violated an 11-year old girl in New York by placing her hands on his penis and exposing himself to her on other occasions. He also mentioned molesting to other girls, one of whom he ‘made amends to’ years later.
The audio was secretly recorded by his estranged wife Faye Grant during a therapy session back in 2012 … and she was able to get away with it because California law allows for conversations to be secretly recorded for the purpose of uncovering a felony.
The NYPD has since launched a criminal investigation against the actor for alleged ‘inappropriate sexual contact’ with children. Collins has since resigned from the Screen Actors’ Guild National Board, and has been fired from the upcoming Ted 2 movie he was starring in.
TV Guide has also yanked the re-runs of 7th Heaven – which ran from 1996 to 2007 – off the air in the wake of the revelation.
