Police in Wichita, Kansas on Thursday arrested a man who is suspected of breaking into the home of a 100-year old woman last week and raping her.
The violated woman told police that she was home alone that fateful Tuesday night when two intruders broke into her house through the back door at the early hours of the morning. After raping her, she was able to escape to a neighbor’s house at around 7:15 am, where she was able to call the police.
Cops arrived and took DNA samples, and eight days later arrested 35-year old Kasey Nesbitt. He was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on suspicion of rape and aggravated robbery.
Kansas Department of Corrections show that Nesbitt has an impressive rap sheet, and has been in and out of prison since 2000 with multiple convictions of theft and burglary. He finished serving his most recent sentence in 2013. And the most incredible part of it is that he was arrested for the rape while in custody for a separate burglary case, for which he was arrested on Monday.
The victim is now living with her family, and is reported to be OK.
