A lactating mother used her breast milk as a weapon while stealing cash from a pharmaceutical store in Germany on Monday.
According to The Local, the woman – now known as ‘Milk Sprayer’ – had walked into the Darmstadt, Hesse store at around 4:25 pm local time to buy a breast pump. But as she handed over €200 ($252) to pay for the €20 ($25) pump, she suddenly opened her top and started spraying staff with her breast milk.
The woman then proceeded to rummage through the cash register to steal money … and she never stopped spraying the staff with her breast milk despite their pleas for her to stop.
‘The staff and customers were frozen to pillars of salt, so unused as they were to this extraordinary act,’ police spokesman Ferdinand Derigs said. ‘She created the confusion to steal. This was a most extraordinary crime. We have never dealt with such a thing before.’
After her breast spraying antics, the woman – described as having a ‘robust’ figure, long, dark ponytail and speaking in an unknown language – left the store, leaving the breast pump she came to buy behind. At the end of the day however, the store staff discovered that only €100 (126) was missing from their cash register.
The Milk Sprayer is yet to be arrested.
