Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus have gone their separate ways … and from the tone of Demi’s voice, their separation was not an amicable one.
During an interview with AMP Radio 103.3 FM on Monday, Lovato was asked by a female caller whether she and her Disney BFF are still tight post Disney … and the answer she gave hinted that something went wrong somewhere.
‘I’m a big fan of you and of Miley Cyrus, so I’m just wondering what your relationship with her is like,’ said the caller.
‘Um…yeah…that, um…we’re, we’re like, we’re acquaintances,’ was Lovato’s reply.
When host TJ Taormina asked the caller whether there was ‘some kind of drama that was reported’ of the stars, she replied that she was ‘just curious’ because she knew that Demi and Miley were friends before Miley’s ‘radical phase. That was when Demi said, ‘Yeah, it’s life, and people change, and, you know, I don’t have anything in common with her anymore, and I wish her all the best.’
As you will remember, Demi Lovato was one of the very few people who defended Miley Cyrus during her very infamous moments in 2013, which was cemented by her MTV VMAs performance with Robin Thicke – a performance that turned her into a ‘global laughing stock.’ That Demi is now saying they both have nothing in common now is a pointer that she no longer approves of Cyrus’ wild ways – which makes sense because Miley now parties too hard, and Demi, a former drug addict, has since cleaned herself up.
