Creed singer Scott Stapp – who posted a 15-minute video this week saying he was homeless and penniless – was recently placed on psychiatric hold by cops, it has been reported.
According to TMZ, police found Stapp on the side of a road in Madison County, Florida on November 13 and placed him on involuntary psychiatric hold for 72 hours because he was ‘wasted, incoherent and rambling that someone was trying to poison him.’ Then his wife, former Miss USA Jaclyn Stapp, filed new legal documents in addition to a prior divorce petition, claiming that her husband has resorted to drugs and has become paranoid.
According to Jaclyn, Stapp has threatened to kill himself and his AA sponsor. He also allegedly hears voices and sees visions of people on fire … and in November 10, had sent a text to the dead of one of his kids’ school saying that the school will soon be attacked by ISIS.
The drugs Jaclyn claims Scott now indulges himself in includes steroids, weed, cocaine, PCP, Special K, Crystal meth, and various prescription drugs. She says the reason why he now claims he’s penniless and homeless is that he has blown his money away to satisfy his drug cravings, and is now trading his personal effects for the substances.
Jaclyn Stapp has now withdrawn her petition to imprison her husband in hospital, and is now reportedly trying to reason with him to get help.
Meanwhile, Stapp said during a radio interview on Thursday that the IRS began freezing his accounts two months after he went on FOX News to criticize president Obama in 2012 … and he believes ‘100 percent’ that his accounts were frozen because of that. He also maintained that he is ‘100 percent sober’ and also mentioned that he subjected himself to psychiatric examinations and was cleared.
