Lady Gaga has denied that she was talking about Dr Luke when she told Howard Stern that she was raped by a music producer when she was 19.
On Tuesday, Gaga appeared on The Howard Stern Show (audio below), where she said a music producer raped her as as a 19-year old up and comer. However, she did not name names.
But Mark Geragos – lawyer for pop singer Kesha, who is suing former manager Dr Luke for physical and sexual abuse – linked to an article of Gaga’s rape revelation on Twitter, asking his followers, ‘Guess who the rapist was?’
When a fan asked whether he was referring to someone Kesha knows, the attorney replied ‘#OhYes’, encouraging them to ‘#NameThePervert.’ When someone replied Dr Luke, Geragos tweeted back, ‘#Bingo.’
A rep for Gaga says Geragos’ accusation is ‘absolutely not true’ adding, ‘The Dr. Luke lawsuit is utterly incomprehensible. This simply isn’t true and how dare someone take advantage of such a sensitive matter.
Dr Luke’s rep also said, ‘Mark Geragos’ statement is completely false and defamatory. Luke met Lady Gaga twice for less than half an hour total in those two meetings combined. He has never been alone with her and never touched her. Neither meeting was in that time frame reported.’
But Geragos has insisted that what he said was true, adding that he will depose Gaga in the Kesha suit, as well as three other ‘not so famous’ women who have also been allegedly abused by Luke.
