Bill Cosby has fired back at the woman who sued him for allegedly sexually assaulting her when she was 15-years old, saying that she is a liar who has tried to extort hundreds of thousands of dollars from him.
As ENTmania! reported, 55-year old Judy Huth claims in her suit that Cosby made her participate in a ‘drinking game’ before taking her to the Playboy mansion and sexually assaulting her back in 1974.
But in his response filed on Thursday, Cosby says Huth’s lawyer had approached his attorney Marty Singer last month and ‘made ominous references to criminal penalties’ before demanding $100,000 for silence. When other women started coming forward with their own allegations, Huth’s lawyer then allegedly increased his demand to $250,000.
And as for Huth’s claim that she only recently remembered the abuse due to repressed memory, Cosby says it’s all nonsense, because she tried to sell her story to the tabloids 10 years ago without success. This implies that she’s not qualified to file lawsuits of this kind because people with repressed memory are allowed to file suits within three years after they’d remembered and in Huth’s case, she remembered 10 years ago.
Cosby also picked holes at the allegation that he subjected Huth to a ‘drinking game’, saying that he is ‘a life-long non-drinker.’
The comedian is asking for the lawsuit to be dismissed, plus he’s seeking money sanctions against her.
