Floyd Mayweather reportedly urged Earl Hayes to dump his alleged unfaithful wife, Hit the Floor star Stephanie Moseley … and that was the fire which lighted the rage that resulted in the rapper shooting her dead and killing himself.
As ENTmania! reported, the boxer was on FaceTime with Hayes on Monday morning when the trigger was pulled. Moments before that, Hayes was telling Mayweather about how Moseley’s repeated infidelity – including an alleged fling with Trey Songz – is hurting him. Floyd, unaware that Stephanie was in the apartment at that time, then told Hayes to dump her because she was hurting his career. According to TMZ, Floyd even told Hayes that he was weak for not leaving her despite her unfaithfulness.
At this point, Hayes became charged with rage … and then told Floyd that he was going to kill his wife. Apparently realizing that Stephanie was at home and the grave consequences of what he had just told Hayes, Floyd begged Hayes not to gun down his wife.
His pleas fell on deaf ears. Hayes went into the bathroom and shot Moseley multiple times as she was taking her bath. Then he want to the bedroom and shot himself.
TMZ reports that the LAPD now wants to speak with Floyd, since he was a witness to the murder-suicide.
