One of the numerous women accusing Bill Cosby of sexual assault has sued the comedian, saying that his constant denials has branded a liar which she’s not.
Tamara Green, a retired attorney, filed a defamation lawsuit against Cosby in Massachusetts on Wednesday, claiming that his publicist’s constant dismissals of her sexual assault claim as a lie has now resulted in her being ridiculed both in her private life and professionally.
Green is accusing Cosby of drugging and groping her at her apartment in the ’70s – and since he cannot be charged for the alleged crime because of the long-expired statute of limitations, her using his more recent denials to drag him to court is genius, we must admit.
Green first said Cosby sexually assaulted her during a Today Show appearance in 2005. She repeated the claims again on Newsweek, The Washington Post and Daily Mail this year.
According to her, Cosby gave her two pills after she complained of flu-like symptoms during lunch. Then he took her home, where ‘he took my clothes off, touched me up and masturbated next to me. I was so stoned, I thought I was dying.’
‘Bill Cosby is twisted, he’s a sexual predator who attacked me and has done the same to dozens of women that I know of,’ she told Daily Mail last month. ‘But he continues to refuse to acknowledge it, which is what angers me and the other women most. He should come clean and apologize for what he has done.’
Cosby’s legal team has not yet responded to the lawsuit.
