The person Mark Wahlberg allegedly blinded during a brawl in 1988 has come forward, saying that he wants the actor to be pardoned because he wasn’t even responsible for his blinded eye in the first place.
As ENTmania! reported, Wahlberg has filed legal documents asking for his 1988 felony assault conviction to be expunged from his record so that he could carry guns as a cop.
Now the victim, Johnny Trinh, told Daily Mail that Wahlberg did not blind him in the brawl. Instead, he said he lost his eye to a grenade while serving in the US Army in the Vietnam War.
He also said he had no idea that his attacker was Wahlberg until now … and now he wants to meet him face to face.
Besides, Trinh says he’d long forgiven his assailant.
