Scott Stapp has lost custody of his three kids.
In a court ruling in Florida on Friday, the judge awarded full legal and physical custody to his estranged wife Jaclyn Stapp. There was no indication that he was even granted visitation … and he was also ordered to stay out of their family home.
This bizarre development came in the heels of a newly published 911 call that was placed last month by his wife and sister-in-law, claiming that the former Creed frontman was riding a bicycle around their neighborhood shirtless, carrying with him a stack of supposed CIA documents in a bag. According to them, he said CIA instructed him to assassinate President Obama.
Jaclyn Stapp, Scott’s wife, joins the 40-minute 911 call, telling the dispatcher Scott had printed out 400 – 600 pages of CIA documents which he supposedly found online, put them in a book bag and took off on his bike.
The 2 women were pleading with the dispatcher to snare Scott and take him back to the psych ward.
As cops were dispatched, Scott placed his own 911 call, saying his wife had stolen his truck and that’s why he was on a bike.
When cops arrived Scott told them Jaclyn had pilfered $6 mil from him, and when he confronted her she decided to get him locked up. In the end, police determined Scott did not show enough signs of mental instability to warrant a psych hold.
As ENTmania! reported, Jaclyn is trying to get her husband into a 60-day psychiatric hold, claiming that he is doing a ton of drugs that include meth, cocaine, weed and prescription drugs. Stapp has maintained several times that he’s sober, alleging that he’s being attacked by people who stole his money, leaving him penniless.
Judging from the series of videos he posted, his facial expressions and the way he spoke, there is nothing to indicate that he is indeed mentally challenged.
