Lil Wayne is staying put at Cash Money Records whether he likes it or not, so says the music label’s chairman Birdman.
As ENTmania! previously reported, Wayne went on Twitter to vent his frustration over Birdman’s refusal to release his album, saying he’s a ‘prisoner’and wants to leave. ‘I want off this label and nothing to do with these people,’ he said in one of the tweets.
Now according to TMZ, Birdman is deeply offended by Wayne’s Twitter rant, and has vowed never to allow him to leave Cash Money until his contract runs out. And as for the delay in the release of the album, Birdman reportedly said a lot of administrative work has to be done first before that can happen … but Wayne, who is ‘just a rapper’, is just too ignorant to realize that.
That said, Birdman still intends to release the album when all administrative work is completed, but Wayne will have to wait for that time, like everybody else.
