Casey Kasem’s body has been buried in Norway.
The legendary radio DJ died six months ago of natural causes, but an insane family dispute involving his children and their stepmother Jean resulted in the delay of his burial.
As ENTmania! reported, Jean and Kasem’s daughters have been fighting over him even before he died … and afterwards, his eldest daughter filed a criminal complaint of elder abuse against Jean in Los Angeles, accusing her of contributing to her father’s death by moving him from country to country in order to make sure his children never have access to him.
Shortly after the complaint was filed and the police started investigating, Kasem’s body, which was still not embalmed, disappeared from the U.S. It was later located in far-away Norway with Jean, leading to the allegation by his children that she was trying to frustrate the ongoing elder abuse investigation.
According to TMZ, Kasem was buried last week Tuesday after a small ceremony at the Veste Gravlund, one of the largest cemeteries in the country. None of his kids even knew about his burial till this week.
His burial now makes it impossible for Los Angeles authorities to continue investigating the elder abuse allegations.
