Chris Brown is in trouble again with the law as his probation in the Rihanna beating case has just been revoked over the recent shooting in two nightclubs where he performed.
Brown appeared in court on Thursday for a progress report, where the judge pointed out what he said were major problems:
- He was present at 1OAK nightclub in August during the MTV VMAs weekend when shots were fired and several people were hit, including rap mogul Suge Knight.
- He was present at a club in San Jose this week where five people were shot (After this incident, Chris declared that he will no longer perform in ‘hood’ clubs again.)
- He left L.A County for San Jose without obtaining permission from the court.
Although the judge noted that so far there is no evidence to prove that Brown was criminally involved in the shootings, the probation officer said that ‘there is also concern that when he performs or attends at some of his public events, people will get shot or seriously injured,’ and that he has shown ‘a pattern of making choices that are counterproductive.’ For that reason, the probation officer recommended jail time for the singer.
The judge has scheduled a formal hearing on March 20. If Brown is found to have ‘willfully’ violated his probation, it is a high possibility he will be sent to prison.
