Amanda Bynes will not be prosecuted for her DUI arrest last September, it has been reported.
As you will remember, Bynes was arrested for driving under the influence of what was later revealed as Adderall. That was the first incident that announced the relapse of her mental state, as the actress began displaying schizophrenic behaviors that resulted in her being confined again in involuntary psychiatric hold and her parents obtaining new conservatorship. She later got released by a judge against doctors’ advice and resumed her erratic behavior before later regaining her senses.
Now TMZ reports that prosecutors can’t go forward with the case because she had a prescription for the drug and had a small concentration of it in her system at the time of arrest. However, the case will be forwarded to the District Attorney, who will decide whether to revoke her probation for a standing 2012 DUI conviction.
Given her proven mental state at that time, it is highly unlikely that the D.A will revoke her probation.
