Suge Knight on Tuesday pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder and murder charges against him … and from there he was rushed to hospital after suffering a panic attack.
During the hearing, the judge cancelled the $2 million bail earlier set for his release, citing the fact that he has a rich criminal record and that he is a flight risk (after all, he fled the scene after hitting the men with his truck, even though he claims he didn’t even know he hit anybody) as the reasons why he made the decision. The judge also stepped down from presiding over the case, saying that he had once represented the two victims – Terry Carter and actor Cle ‘Bone’ Sloan – as a lawyer.
Suge was reported to have been feeling chest pains during the hearing and shortly after the hearing ended, paramedics were called, who rushed him to hospital in an ambulance.
The cause of the panic attack is apparently the realization that he faces life in prison if convicted for killing Carter, his friend.
The next hearing takes place on February 9.
