Police in Los Angeles have said the paparazzi was not chasing Bruce Jenner at the time of the fatal car crash that killed one and wounded seven others on Saturday afternoon.
As ENTmania! reported, Jenner had told police that he was being pursued by paparazzi as he drove along the Pacific Coast Highway, but according to a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, ‘As of right now, there is no indication that Bruce Jenner was being chased by paparazzi at the time of the crash.’
‘There was a possibility that paparazzi was following him at the time of the crash,’ the spokesman admitted, ‘but that is a very regular occurrence, and [there’s] no indication at this time it was a contributing factor of the crash.’
Police has since opened a vehicle manslaughter investigation targeting not just Bruce, but the other parties that contributed to the crash. According to TMZ, police is looking into a possibility that Bruce was texting on the wheel moments before the crash, but new photos posted by the site suggest that the reality star was smoking, not texting.
