Chris Brown was supposed to perform in Montreal, Canada on Tuesday, but was turned away by the country’s border service hours before the start of the concerts.
The news was shared on Twitter by Brown himself, who tweeted, ‘Unfortunately I will not be able to perform in front of sold out crowds in Montreal & Toronto. The good people of the Canadian government wouldn’t allow me entry. I’ll be back this summer and will hopefully see all my Canadian fans!’
His being denied entry into the country was obviously because of his ongoing legal problems. One of the laws of Canada states that foreigners who have been convicted of crimes involving assault will be considered ‘criminally inadmissible.’ So since Brown has been convicted of assaulting Rihanna in 2009 and is still on probation for it, you can now easily guess why he was denied.
