A 25-year old female paramedic from Russia has been fired after authorities found many selfies she took with dying patients plastered all over Instagram with appalling captions.
Tatiana Kulikova’s album of dying patients’ selfies includes photos with captions like ‘how I hate my job’ and ‘Another moron.’ In the pic that bore the last caption, Kulikova’s handd can be seen flipping the bird (below).
Once the pics were discovered, Kulikova was hauled before emergency services authorities, where she admitted taking the photos. So she was immediately fired.
‘It is clear that while she was taking these photographs she was not looking after her patients,’ said local health campaigner Artem Golubev. ‘She shows a callous disregard for the welfare of her patients, some of whom died after those pictures were taken. I would not be surprised if their families sue both her and the emergency services.’
A spokesman for the emergency services added, ‘As soon as we were alerted to these images online we suspended the paramedic in question. After an investigation was carried out, the employee was fired.’
Kulikova’s unethical Instagram gallery sparked outrage among locals who found their family members in her photos. There is no word on whether she will be criminally prosecuted.
