Jill Blackstone – the veteran producer behind shows like Jerry Springer and The Real – was arrested on Monday for the murder of her deaf sister Wendy.
According to TMZ, Jill called cops to her San Fernando Valley home on Saturday, saying that there was a dead person and the bodies of three dogs in her garage. She also told them that the person committed suicide … but when cops arrived, they found a suspicious suicide note Wendy was holding, which they believe was written by Jill.
The death scene established the fact that Wendy died from carbon monoxide poisoning from a BBQ grill, cops said, but they think something is fishy because the grill was placed at her feet.
TMZ further reports that Jill told paramedics that she also lost consciousness, but came to on her bed and called a friend for help. That friend called 911, believing she had suffered a stroke because she was slurring her speech over the phone.
Jill. who also suffered severe carbon monoxide poisoning, spent two days in hospital before her release on Monday. Soon after, she was arrested for murder and held on $1 million bail, but was released Wednesday after the District Attorney sent the case back to police for further investigation.
The exact cause of Wendy’s death will not be known until the coroner performs a toxicology test.
