A man in Hordaland county, Norway, has been arrested for cutting off his beard and attempting to glue it on a bald man’s head.
According to prosecutor Harald Bilberg, the forty-something year old unidentified man claims the bald victim agreed to let him use his beard to create a wig for him … but given his previous 7 convictions and 13 fines for ‘nuisance’ crimes, authorities are understandably finding it hard to believe him.
‘He was bald, so the accused claims that they had agreed to create a toupée for the aggrieved party,’ Bilberg said, according to Bergens Tidende. ‘I must admit that I have never encountered such a case in my career.’
The man is also facing burglary and theft charges … and was last Friday arrested again for violating a restraining order preventing him from going near the victim.
Efforts to reach the victim’s lawyer for comment was unsuccessful.
