Harvey Weinstein will not face charges for allegedly groping a woman during a film festival, it has been announced.
As ENTmania! reported, an Italian model – who was reportedly involved in former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi sex scandal – accused the movie mogul of touching her thighs and grabbing her breasts during a meeting in his office during the Tribeca Film Festival. She reported the case to police immediately after the incident allegedly took place.
Weinstein maintained his innocence and was questioned by police on the matter … and now a spokesman for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has announced that no charges will be filed due to insufficient evidence.
‘After analyzing the available evidence, including multiple interviews with both parties, a criminal charge is not supported,’ said the spokesman.
