A judge in Buenos Aires, Argentina has issued a warrant for the arrest of Justin Bieber stemming from a 2013 assault case against him in the country.
In 2013, a photographer claimed that Bieber ordered his bodyguards to rough him up for snapping pics of him as he was leaving a club. The photographer, Diego Pesoa, filed a lawsuot against Bieber and two of his bodyguards Terrence Reche Smalls and Hugo Alcides Hesny.
Bieber was ordered to appear for questioning back in November … but apparently he failed to show up. So on Tuesday April 8, the judge issued a warrant for his arrest.
‘I consider it pertinent to order the immediate detention of the accused,’ the judge said in the order, also demanding that the two bodyguards in question be arrested.
If convicted, Bieber faces a maximum of 6 years behind bars.
