Sofia Vergara has denied her ex-fiance’s allegation that she intends to destroy the embryos they fertilized together because they broke up … but made it clear that she won’t have any kids with him.
As ENTmania! reported, Nick Loeb filed a lawsuit against Vergara, asking the court to stop her from destroying the embryos as she doesn’t have any legal right to do that and he’s still interested in having a baby. He also accused her of physically assaulting him during their long relationship, which ended last year. She has since moved on, and is now engaged to Joe Manganiello.
But in a statement released by her attorney to People on Saturday, the actress picked holes at Nick’s accusations, while making it clear that she does not intend to destroy the embryos.
‘The claims made against Sofia Vergara by Nick Loeb are incredible and hold no merit. Vergara has never wanted to destroy her embryos,’ the statement read. ‘Vergara has never suggested that she wished to have the embryos destroyed. She has always maintained that they be kept frozen, a fact of which Loeb and his counsel have always been aware, despite Loeb’s statements to the contrary.’
‘Vergara, who has happily moved on with her life, is content to leave the embryos frozen indefinitely as she has no desire to have children with her ex, which should be understandable given the circumstances,’ ends the statement.
