Floyd Mayweather has been sued by his baby mama, who accuses him of lying about her in order make himself look good to the press for his big boxing fight.
Josie Harris, who has three kids with Mayweather, filed a $20 million lawsuit against the boxer over an interview he did with Katie Couric two weeks before the much-touted ‘big fight’ with Manny Pacquiao. According to her, Floyd straight out lied when he told Couric that she was on a drug-enhanced rage during their infamous 2010 domestic violence incident he was convicted and jailed for … saying that all he did was to ‘restrain’ her.
Harris claims that what actually happened was that Floyd, who was supposedly furious that they broke up, stormed into her house and viciously attacked her as she slept on the couch. She also claims that her kids witnessed the whole thing.
According to her lawyer Dan Friedlander, Floyd’s lies ‘were knowingly fabricated in order to hype Mayweather’s upcoming fight with Pacquiao, to avoid bad press by deflecting responsibility for beating the mother of his children.’
Harris claims that she’s now being called a drug addict and has suffered global humiliation thanks to the lies … and is now gunning for $20 million in damages.
