Zayn Malik has called out the One Direction fans who slammed him for engaging in a Twitter feud with former band mate Louis Tomlinson, saying he doesn’t understand why he was being ‘attacked’ for ‘defending’ himself.
It all began on Wednesday after producer Naughty Boy posted a photo of him and Malik on Twitter with the caption, ‘Replace this’ … a post that was regarded as a One Direction diss. This post led to a feud between Tomlinson and Naughty Boy, with the two exchanging several tweets blasting each other.
The feud, however, came to a head when Malik himself tweeted, ‘@Louis_Tomlinson remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine?’ This tweet abruptly ended the Louis-Naughty exchanges on one hand, and ignited angry responses from 1D fans on the other. The fans, who are still offended that Malik left the band to live a ‘private’ life that involves public appearances and a solo music career, were upset that Malik sent such a biting comment about someone once considered to be his closest friend.
But on Thursday, Malik tweeted, ‘Don’t know why I’m being attacked for defending myself , people got it twisted! I love my fans ?! Every single one of you x.’
