Blues legend B.B King has passed away. He was 89.
King died on Thursday in his sleep in his Las Vegas home, his lawyer revealed. He had been suffering from diabetes and arterial hypertension, for which he was briefly hospitalized last month.
A 15-time Grammy winner, King was famous for his guitar skills and unique voice. He has released landmark hit songs, his most famous track being Lucille, a song dedicated to his beloved guitar named Lucille. He has also received several awards, including the Kennedy Center Honor and the President Medal of Freedom.
As ENTmania! reported, there had been allegations made by King’s daughters against his longtime manager Laverne Toney of elder abuse, saying that she denied King his medication during concerts and swindled him of over $20 million.
