Lindsay Lohan has completed her community service and this time, she did it for real.
The actress had been ordered to complete 125 more hours of community service back in February after more than half of the hours previously completed on questionable circumstances was thrown out by the judge. But fast forward to May and she still has not completed the service, prompting the judge to give her till May 28 to complete it or go to jail.
Lindsay began the community service at Duffield Children’s Center in Brooklyn, New York on May 6, working 8-hour shifts everyday. Now she has completed it, and her attorney Shawn Holley is expected to submit a progress report in court today, proving that she has fulfilled her obligations to the society.
If the judge accepts her community service, she will be taken off the probation she got back in 2012 for drunkenly crashing her Porsche behind an 18-wheeler and lying that she was not behind the wheel.
‘Hard work pays off. Thank you to all those that allowed me to volunteer while in nyc. God bless you all. Amen,’ she posted on Instagram on Wednesday.
Update 11:00 am EST:
A judge has approved the community service hours served … and has taken Lindsay off probation. Congratulations, LiLo.
